EX-3600M
|
| Features |
Designed especially for difficult sample matrices, the EX-3600M gives customers a choice of advanced powerful options to optimize the instrument for your particular application. The result is a custom-built, high performance instrument, at a price less than that of a larger laboratory unit. The EX-3600M's options include the specialized CLS (Custom Line Source) that increases excitation energy to specific hard-to-measure elements within the sample matrix. The CLS option provides increased peak to background ratio and improved detection limits - a 5x improvement in the MDL for sodium (Na). The ultra-sensitive LEO (Light Element Optimized) detector option affords a 10x improvement in the MDL for sodium (Na). Analyzer is also available in a thermoelectrically cooled version - EX-3600M TEC.

| Applications |
Coal and coal ash analysis 3600M can be used for such as the oxides of the elements: Si, Al, Fe, Ca. Mg, Na, K, ti, Mn, S, P, Ba, Sr and Zn in a coal sample. Concentrations of these elements can be used to determine the quality of the coal for petrochemical and energy use. Cement & glass analysis Cement is defined as any of a variety of substances used for bonding or settling to a hard material. Portland cement, currently the foundation of modern industrial construction techniques, is a mixture of calcium silicates and aluminates made by heating limestone with clay in a kiln. The resulting material is then ground to a fine power (cement). Controlling even relatively small changes in the composition of cements during the production process has become a high priority interest for manufacturers worldwide. The oxide composition of glass sand determines its chemical and physical properties. The premix components composition must be accurately and precisely measured in order to determine the quality of the glass. Food & drug additives Food is a market that offers many opportunities for 3600. There are a number of minerals and mentals added for extra nutritional value that must be monitored to comply with Food and Drug Administration regulations. CI in hydraulic oils Waste oils such as used lubrication oil are used in a number of oil power plants and kilns. These are monitored for elements: S, Cl, As, Pb, Cd for toxic metals chlorine, and sulfur per environmental protection agency (EPA) guidelines.
